Our Story

The journey of WaveRez began in 2014 when local watersport operator John Stephens conceptualized a rental scheduling system inspired by an old magnet board. Having successfully used it to streamline the rental bookings for his own boats, John collaborated with Greg Fisher and Alex Benko from TripShock to develop a web-based reservation software named BookRS. As the software evolved with an increased focus on water based tours and rentals, it was rebranded in 2019 as WaveRez. Headquartered in Destin, FL, WaveRez caters to companies all across the United States, offering industry leading tools for watersport and boat tour operators.
