At WaveRez, we are constantly working to improve the tools operators use every day to run their businesses. Our goal is simple: make reservation software that actually works the way watersports and boat tour companies operate.
Over the past few months we have been building and releasing several new features designed to help operators better understand their bookings, improve crew management, simplify payments, and integrate with the latest technology.
Below is a look at what is new and what is coming soon.
WaveRez 2.0 Dashboard & Reporting Improvements
One of the most noticeable improvements in WaveRez is the updated dashboard experience. Operators rely on their dashboard to quickly understand how their business is performing, so we focused on making that information easier to access and more useful.
Weekly and Monthly Performance Views

Operators can now toggle between weekly and monthly views to better understand booking trends. This makes it easier to answer important questions like:
- Are bookings pacing ahead or behind last week?
- How does this month compare to last month?
- When are our busiest booking periods?
Instead of digging through reports, operators can now quickly visualize performance from the dashboard.
Improved Booking Source Visibility
The upgraded dashboard also makes it easier to see where bookings are coming from. Operators can quickly review the breakdown of revenue by source, including direct bookings, OTAs, affiliates, and other channels.
This helps operators understand which marketing channels are driving results and where to focus their efforts.
Upcoming Trips & Booking Filters
The dashboard now also makes it easier to view upcoming trips and filter reservations based on different criteria. You can learn more about reporting inside WaveRez in our Admin Resources: Reports help article.
Filter reservations by:
- Arrival date
- Order date
- Upcoming trips
This makes it easier for staff to quickly review schedules, anticipate busy periods, and prepare for upcoming departures.
Improved Crew Management Tools

Running trips requires coordination between boats, guides, and crew members. We have enhanced crew management tools to make it easier for operators to track who is running each trip.
Operators can now more easily assign crew members to reservations and keep better records of which captain or guide was responsible for each trip. This helps operators with scheduling, accountability, and internal reporting.
For multi-boat operations or companies running multiple trips per day, these updates help keep everyone organized. Visit our Crew Feature help article for a full breakdown of how this works inside your account.
Pay by QR Code, Text, or Email

Many operators still encounter situations where customers need to pay after the reservation is created. This could be for upgrades, balance payments, add-ons, or walk-up bookings.
WaveRez now allows operators to send a payment request using multiple convenient methods. Customers simply open the link and complete the payment on their phone. You can find step-by-step instructions in our How to Add Additional Payments to an Existing Order guide.
Send payment requests via:
- Text message
- QR code customers can scan on-site
This feature is especially useful for dockside sales, last-minute upgrades, and situations where staff want to collect payment without manually entering card information.
Google Things To Do Enhancements

Google Things To Do is becoming an increasingly important distribution channel for tours and activities. We are continuing to expand WaveRez functionality to help operators maximize their presence in this channel.
The latest updates give operators more control over how their tours appear within Google Things To Do listings.
Operators can now enhance listings with:
- More detailed trip descriptions
- Customer reviews
- Custom landing pages
- Improved content for Google listings
WaveRez also supports advertising through the Google Things To Do product feed, allowing operators to run paid placements directly inside Google’s activity marketplace. For operators looking to increase visibility in search results and drive more bookings from Google, these updates make it easier than ever.
AI Voice & Chatbot Integration with Yonder
We are excited to announce a new integration with Yonder that introduces AI voice and chat capabilities for operators.
With this integration, customers can interact with an AI-powered assistant that can answer common questions and help guide customers through the booking process.
Customers can:
- Ask questions about tours
- Receive booking links
- Check availability
- View pricing information
All without needing to speak to a human agent. For operators, this means fewer missed calls and faster responses to customer questions. As AI technology continues to evolve, we believe tools like this will play an important role in improving the customer experience while reducing operational workload.
BoatFix Telematics Integration (Coming Soon)

One of the most exciting upcoming integrations for WaveRez is with BoatFix telematics.
BoatFix provides real-time tracking technology for boats, and soon operators will be able to view this information directly inside the WaveRez interface.
This integration will allow operators to:
- Track boats in real time
- Monitor fleet activity
- Improve operational visibility
For companies operating multiple boats across different locations, this kind of integration can dramatically improve situational awareness and operational control. We believe the combination of reservation data and real-time boat tracking opens up exciting possibilities for the future of fleet management.
Coming Soon: Reseller Marketplace, Built-In Waivers & Advanced Reporting
In addition to the features listed above, we are actively developing several major additions to the platform.
Reseller Marketplace
Operators will soon be able to resell other activities directly within WaveRez, opening new opportunities for cross-selling and partnerships between operators.
Built-In Digital Waivers
WaveRez will soon include native digital waiver functionality. This will allow operators to manage liability waivers directly inside the reservation system without relying on third-party tools.
Advanced Reporting Tools
We are also expanding reporting capabilities to provide deeper insights into bookings, revenue trends, and operational performance.
🌊 Our Goal: Software Built for Operators
WaveRez was built specifically for tour and watersports operators. Every feature we add is designed to solve real operational problems we see operators dealing with every day.
From better reporting and crew management to AI integrations and telematics tracking, our focus is on building tools that help operators run more efficient and profitable businesses.
If you are already a WaveRez customer, many of these features are already available in your account. Visit our Help Center for guides on getting started with any of these tools.
